White and Wood

Jake and Patrick landed in Greensboro in late 2015 after living in California for over 25 years. Jake a resident of San Francisco and Patrick a resident of Los Angeles. During the first 10 years of their partnership, they split their time between the two cities. Patrick's career at VF Corporation initiated the relocation from California to North Carolina and suddenly the possibitlity of making Jake's lifelong dream of owning his own restaurant suddenly seemed achievable.

Jake spent over 25 years working in the restaurant industry in San Francisco. He had the opportunity to work with award-winning and industry famous chefs and worked at many of the top restaurants in the bay area. His training and experience in front-of-house service and restaurant management sparked his desire to do something more in the industry that he loved. His belief that cooking wonderful food and sharing it with great friends is one of the most special ways to spend time with people. Moving to Greensboro suddenly provided an opportunity where Jake could create and open a restaurant and make his dream of owning his own place to share his passion for great food, great service, and great company in an amazing environment a reality.

Patrick spent over 25 years working in Human Resources supporting various retail organizations, including Gap, Target, Wild Oats Markets, Whole Foods, Smart & Final, and Henry's Farmer's Market. He started his career with VF in 2009 leading the Human Resources team for Vans Retail Stores in the United States and Canada. In late 2016, Patrick was promoted to the VF World Headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina to lead the global Human Resources functions for the Direct to Consumer and Retail business across all of VF, including the brands Vans, Timberland, The North Face, Nautica, Kipling, among others.

Together Jake and Patrick decided to take a leap of faith and move to Greensboro to see what might be possible. That decision opened the door to make White and Wood a reality

Together, they strive to create the best place for people to share in their passion for great food, great service, and great dining experiences that are shared among friends and loved ones.
